Today, the most
fashionable winter resorts in Eastern Europe
are in Bulgaria, writes The Newsweek in its latest issue. The
magazine, the latest issue of which is dedicated to ski-tourism in the
region, will come out on January 24. In it they advertise packages for a
ski-vacation in Pamporovo and Borovets winter resorts. "Forget the Alps. New and modern ski-resorts develop fast in Eastern Europe" the article reads. The author makes it a
point that the expenses on skiing in Bulgaria are 4 times lower than tourists usually have in
the blue-chip resorts in France and Switzerland. Chris Rand, Sales and Marketing executive of
Balkan Holidays, who is quoted in the article, says that in Eastern European
resorts it is different; one can have a lot of fun and the prices are
friendly.
