We at A Home In Bulgaria are happy to announce that Bulgaria, a country that is looking
forward to its admission to the European Union in 2007, has lifted the
veto that prevents foreigners from buying land.
On Friday the MPs from all political parties voted for the amendments in Bulgaria's constitution in connection
with the land sales, bringing it into compliance with the EU legislation.
Foreigners, who are not permanent residents of Bulgaria, will be able to purchase land
after a seven-year transition period.
